Lentek Replacement Octenol Attractant (MKOCT-2G)

The Lentek Octenol Attractant can be used with most brands and models of mosquito traps, although it was designed specifically for the MK12 and MK06 models. It should he hung on the trap close to the fan intake.

Octenol (1-octen-3-ol) is a naturally occurring by-product that comes from animals, such as oxen and cows, that ingest large amounts of plant matter. Mosquitoes are attracted to the chemical trail emitted by the Octenol attractant cartridge and follow the trail until they find the source, which in nature, would normally be a suitable blood meal source. Instead, they are sucked into the trap.

When used with the Lentek MK12 mosquito trap or similar style traps, the Octenol Attractant cartridge should be replaced every 3 weeks (21 days) for optimal performance of your trap.
